TODD GLASSMAN PROMOTED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, PROMOTION, UNIVERSAL MOTOWN RECORDS
NEW YORK, New York, Wednesday, May 6, 2009– Todd Glassman has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Promotion for Universal Motown Records, it was announced today by Sylvia Rhone, President of Universal Motown Records, and Andrew Kronfeld, General Manager of the label.
In this new role, Mr. Glassman will oversee promotion at Top 40, Rhythm Crossover, Rock, and Adult formats.
“Since joining Universal Motown just two years ago, Todd has played an invaluable role in the success of our promotion team,” said Ms. Rhone. “He sees the big picture when working a record, combining a wide musical sensibility with extensive radio experience. We are very proud to promote Todd to the post of SVP of Promotion.”

Mr. Glassman joined Universal Motown as Vice President of Top 40 Promotion in 2007 and quickly became instrumental in the breakthrough radio success of the company’s diverse roster of artists, which includes Lil Wayne, Akon, Blue October, Kid Cudi, Safetysuit, and Shontelle, among many others. Prior to Universal Motown, Mr. Glassman held Vice President of Top 40 Promotion posts at Columbia Records and Epic Records, in addition to serving as Vice President of Promotion at Artemis Records. The fruits of his labor are also evident in the radio success of artists such as Destiny’s Child, John Mayer, Jessica Simpson, Bruce Springsteen, and Beyoncé.
