Fergie's Got`em Stumblin'
Interscope Records artist Fergie is taking her “Fergalicious” appeal to a whole new level. Over the course of the year Fergie has continued to show her staying power as one of the music industry’s elite. Recently, Fergie notched top honors at The American Music Awards for Best Female Artist in Pop/Rock. Her debut solo album The Dutchess has now produced five consecutive top-ten singles on Billboard.
Her most recent single, “Clumsy” is a pop song written by Fergie, Will.i.am and Bobby Troup. The song (which samples Little Richard's "The Girl Can't Help It") has been all over Billboard's charts for weeks. "Clumsy" has also been featured on the soundtrack to Judd Apatow's hit film Knocked Up.
The music video for “Clumsy”, directed by Marc Webb and Rich Lee, premiered on AOL Music in October. It features Fergie singing at a pop-up concert, with an ever-changing landscape similar to a fantasy diorama. Every time the page is turned in the pop-up book, Fergie is featured in a different setting. While attempting to impress the object of her affection (Alex Lundquist), Fergie consistently meets a “clumsy” demise. Since being uploaded onto YouTube, the video has amassed more than 4.5 million views and counting.
