Wisin & Yandel's Mujeres In The Club Feat. 50 Cent Premieres Today On MTV
Wisin & Yandel’s new video featuring 50 Cent, “Mujeres in the Club”, will premiere today on video channels throughout the MTV network, making this the widest release ever for a Latin music video.
Beginning today “Mujeres in the Club” will be in rotation throughout MTV (MTV2, MTVTr3s, MTV Hits, MTV Jams, MTVU, and MTV.com).
The video for “Mujeres in the Club” was directed by Jessy Terrero in a gritty, urban abandoned warehouse in Brooklyn and portrays a city that has been destroyed, leaving Wisin, Yandel and 50 Cent as the only living survivors.
50 Cent recorded on the duo’s hot street single which has already been playing on Latin radio and is part of the duo’s upcoming album La Revolución, in stores May 26.
With this new single and album, Wisin & Yandel, intend to revolutionize the music industry with their unique brand of Latin urban music. La Revolución features 17 songs with a fusion of genres and styles as only Wisin & Yandel can deliver them and marks a natural evolution for the duo that have so far enjoyed a ten year career replete with number one hits, multi-platinum certifications, sold out venues and prestigious awards.
Wisin & Yandel recently made history in Mexico City selling out the Auditorio Nacional and Palacio de los Deportes on the same week. They also sold out every single concert throughout Mexico. Their 2007 album Wisin vs. Yandel, Los Extraterrestres won a Grammy® for Best Latin Urban Album (2009) and a Latin Grammy® for Best Urban Album (2008). Billboard Magazine named it the #1 Latin Album of 2008 (Sales and Air Play). The duo recently won four Premio Lo Nuestro awards and has seven Latin Billboard Award nominations. Their latest single “Me Estas Tentando” reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs Chart.
In 2008, Wisin & Yandel sold out the Staples Center and Madison Square Garden in the US, filled to capacity 12 concerts in Mexico and performed to an audience of 175,000 in Venezuela as part of their “Los Extraterrestres” tour. The tour received such popular acclaim that the duo was compelled to extend it to 2009.
