Matt wants to let you know about this amazing contest that the folks at People’s Choice have put together with his song “New York Girls”. The winner will go to NYC to watch Matt record in the studio and will also go to Hollywood to walk the red carpet with Matt at the People’s Choice Awards show!

So, as most of you know, Matt wrote his album, 'Best Days', in New York City where he’s lived for a long time. New York City is known for its eclectic people, which is the main reason why he wrote the song, "New York Girls", but Matt has noticed from touring this great country of ours that there are some pretty interesting and fun people in every city.

So here’s the deal! Check out Matt’s little web video for “New York Girls” and pay attention to the chorus: “New York girls are crazy.” Now grab your video cameras and find the coolest spot in your hometown. It could be a monument, park, building -- anything you want. Then film yourself singing the song, but instead of singing "New York Girls", what you need to do is sing the name of your city, so... If you're from LA, you'd sing "LA girls are crazy" or if you're from Cleveland, you'd sing "Cleveland girls are crazy.” You get the point.

After you've shot your video, you’re going to upload it to PCAVote.com. Submissions will be accepted from June 16th – June 29th. Then the best 3 videos will be featured on PCAVote.com where people will vote on their favorite. That voting starts on July 7th and ends on July 13th.

Now here’s the best part! If you're the winner, you will be flown to New York to watch Matt record a new version of “New York Girls” that will be personalized with the name of your hometown. Then you and a guest will be flown to Hollywood, California, to attend the live broadcast of the People’s Choice Awards in January hosted by Queen Latifah. You’ll even get to walk the red carpet with Matt!
