Nelly Furtado Wins Russian 'Record' Award

Nelly Furtado was one of the winning artists at the Record Awards event held on the 26th November at Moscow’s Kosmos Hotel.

The Record Award celebrates excellence in the record industry and billed as one the most important in Russia.

Nelly Furtado’s multi-platinum album Loose won the “Album of the Year” category as the best selling foreign album.

Loose is certified 5 x Platinum in Russia.

Local artists Band’Eros (UM Publishing) picked up the award for top-selling ringtone for “Kolambia Pictures Doesn’t Present” from their platinum debut album.

Band’Eros also closed the ceremony, performing their new single “Beautiful Life”.
