Kardinal Offishall's 'Dangerous' Single Scorches Billboard 'Hot 100'
SANTA MONICA, Calif., July 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Rapper Kardinal Offishall is shaping up to have the hottest single out so far in 2008 with "Dangerous," featuring vocalist AKON. This week, the Kon Live/Geffen recording artist's single is solidly ensconced at #9 on Billboard's Hot 100;
#20 on the Top 40 Mainstream chart; #5 on the Rhythmic Top 40; and is the Top Selling Rap song on the digital charts this week with 69,850 sales, 460,202 overall.
Anticipation of a spectacular September 9 chart debut for the Canadian-born rapper's third CD, NOT 4 SALE, is being fueled by a flurry of YouTube video hits on "Dangerous" that have tallied an astounding 6 million views and counting. The video has garnered a 5-Star rating, with overwhelmingly positive viewer reviews for the video and its infectious sing-along chorus.
The strapping 6'4" KARDINAL OFFISHALL, aka Jason Harrow, will make a special appearance on MTV's highly-rated TRL on Thursday, July 31, with visits to 106 & Park and various talk shows in the works. KARDINAL OFFISHALL and AKON recently appeared on Much Music's MMVA to a standing ovation, leaving the audience screaming with delight when they performed "Dangerous." And his appearance at New York's "Hot 97 Summer Jam" is still the talk of the season.
