Julianne Hough Snags 1st Emmy Nomination

NASHVILLE, TN - Mercury Nashville newcomer and two-time Dancing With The Stars champ, Julianne Hough, snags first Emmy nomination in the “Outstanding Choreography” category. Julianne is being recognized for her Mambo, “Para Los Rumberos”, with former partner and champ Helio Castroneves, which will be awarded at the 60th Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, September 13 in Los Angeles.

Julianne was delighted with the news, saying "Wow! I am completely shocked to be nominated and very honored to be in the company of such amazing talent. I never dreamed that I would be in the same category with choreographers that I have looked up to for years. The opportunity to be on Dancing With The Stars has been incredible, and Helio was a fantastic partner. I could not have done it without him."

Other nominations in the same category include:

“High School Musical 2: (Kenny Ortega, Charles Klapow & Bonnie Story)
“So You Think You Can Dance” (Wade Robson)
“So You Think You Can Dance” (Shane Sparks)
“So You Think You Can Dance” (Mandy Moore)

Julianne’s self-titled debut album entered the country charts at #1 back in May and current single “That Song In My Head” continues to top radio and video charts. Catch her on the road with Brad Paisley and "The Paisley Party 2008".
