(April 9, 2008 – New York, NY) Multi-platinum Island Records group Fall Out Boy’s “****LIVE IN PHOENIX,” their first long-form CD+DVD two-disc package (which arrived in stores on April 1st), debuts at #1 on the Billboard Music Video Sales chart this week, beating Celine Dion, The Eagles and Beyonce for the top spot. The core of the program is their full-length Honda Civic Tour concert of June 2007 in Phoenix, with 15 songs on the CD and 22 songs contained on the DVD.

Fall Out Boy’s cover of Michael Jackson’s “Beat It,” included as a bonus track studio version on the CD, is set to impact at CHR/Top 40 radio next week. Fans have already made the song a hit, as it has risen to #4 on the iTunes chart and sold over 175,465 songs digitally. “Beat It” guest-stars Grammy Award winner John Mayer replicating Eddie Van Halen’s original legendary guitar solo of 1983. Fall Out Boy introduced “Beat It” at the MTV VMAs last September, when they performed it at their VMA Fantasy Suite after winning the coveted Best Group award – their third consecutive VMA.

In addition to the 22 songs, the “****LIVE IN PHOENIX” DVD includes all eight of Fall Out Boy’s video clips in chronological order – from their debut single “Sugar, We’re Going Down” (MTV2 Award winner for 2005), “Dance, Dance” (MTV VMA Viewers Choice Award for 2006), and “A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More ‘Touch Me’” (all three from their 3 million worldwide-selling Island debut of May 2005, From Under The Cork Tree); up through “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race,” “The Carpal Tunnel Of Love,” “Thnks fr th Mmrs,” “The Take Over, The Breaks Over,” and “I’m Like a Lawyer With the Way I’m Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You)” (all five from Infinity On High, their RIAA double-platinum second Island album, released February 2007).
