Eve's Latest Album, Flirt
Fans of Rapper/Actress Eve should be pleased to learn she has been working harder than ever to finalize her latest album, whose release date has been pushed back multiple times. The album was originally slated to be released in August 2007 through Interscope in a joint deal with Dr. Dre's Aftermath Entertainment. However, the album failed to materialize.
Eve has rerecorded a number of tracks on the album, and even renamed the album from “Here I Am” to “Flirt.” In an interview with World Entertainment News Network, Eve is quoted as having said “The album is finally going to come out this spring or summer. But with all the time that passed, we went back in and reworked the whole thing.” She replaced some mid-tempo tracks on the album with ones that are more club friendly, in an effort to get her music back on store shelves.
The rapper added, “I had to get in there and put in some upbeat music that I wasn’t depressed about… I am truly, truly sitting on some amazing music. Nobody’s been waiting longer than me to get this monkey off my back!”
