Eminem, Dre & 50 Cent Prepare to Release Triple Threat of New Albums in 2009
2009 promises to be a year full of much awaited album releases. The super producer/rapper Dr. Dre’s album Detox is set to finally be released after years of anticipation. Additionally, rapper 50 Cent told HollyScoop.com in an interview that Eminem’s next album entitled Relapse is “almost done” and that it should not be more than “two weeks before [the label] starts figuring out the scheduling of the release of his actual project.” 50 plans to be part of Eminem’s first album in nearly five years in a big way, saying that he would not miss this opportunity to be seen and heard; on top of that he is also due to release his own album in early 2009 as well, entitled Before I Self Destruct.
Of the three albums which Hip-Hop fans are sure to be counting down the days to their respective releases, Dr. Dre’s album is most probably the one that yields the most excitement. Dr. Dre’s upcoming album, Detox, is one that many thought would never actually be released. At one point Dre had even said he was shelving the album altogether. However, at the 2007 VMA awards he promised that the album would in fact be released.
All three of these albums were included on MTV’s most anticipated albums of 2009. They will be featured on Universal Music's First Play right here on universalmusic.com! Check back soon to listen free!
