Bravado and The Killers Partner for Merchandising
Bravado, the world's leading global music merchandising company, has entered into an agreement to manufacture and distribute merchandise for multi-platinum selling, Grammy-nominated rock band, The Killers. The announcement was made today by Tom Bennett, Chief Executive Officer of Bravado.
The Killers, a four member rock band made up of Brandon Flowers (vocals, keyboards), Dave Keuning (guitar, vocals), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar, vocals) and Ronnie Vannucci Jr., (percussion, drums), were formed in 2002 in Las Vegas. Two years later, they released their debut album, Hot Fuss, which spawned four worldwide hit singles and earned five Grammy nominations. Their second album, released in 2006, Sam's Town, earned them an additional two Grammy nominations. The Killers' first two albums have sold in excess of 12 million copies worldwide combined. Their most recent release, Sawdust, is a collection of B-sides, rarities, and remixes.
"This is a great opportunity for Bravado to join forces with The Killers and we're excited about the potential of this relationship," stated Mr. Bennett. "Merchandise goes hand in hand with CD sales, especially with a band this popular. The Killers are a perfect example of who the merchandising business was built for and we're thrilled to be creating innovative merchandise offerings that will help them further connect with their avid fan base."
While currently working on their next album, The Killers will also be traveling around the world for a variety of performances and festivals this summer and fall. The group will make stops in the US before moving on to Canada, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Ireland and England.
