Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears To Make National TV Debut On Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson On September 21
Nashville, TN – Lost Highway’s Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, will make their national television debut with a riveting performance on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on September 21. Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears, continue to gain fans and receive recognition six months after the release of their debut Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is! (Lost Highway) in March 2009. Upon the release of Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is!, Lewis has been featured in SPIN, American Songwriter, Stereophile, NPR, Performing Songwriter, New York Post and PopMatters with rave reviews in Esquire, Marie Claire, Utne Reader, New York Daily News, Newsday and the Washington Post. More recently Lewis appeared on Tavis Smiley’s nationally syndicated radio show and had features on Blurt.com and Wired.com.
Since the release of Tell ‘Em What Your Name Is! Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears have been performing almost non-stop, with opening slots for Gomez, Lucero, Robert Randolph, New York Dolls and stops at multiple festivals; Lollapalooza, Street Scene, Bumbershoot and the upcoming Austin City Limits Festival on October 4. The band has been gaining steam at Alternative Radio as well with increased airplay in markets such as San Diego CA, Portland OR, Columbus OH, Kansas City KS and Boston MA.
Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears’ is an eight-piece Garage Soul ensemble whose high-energy performances have been converting mere concert go-ers into fans all summer long. The Austin American Statesman raved “Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears…threw down the gauntlet in terms of energy and technique. Lewis is the best R&B shouter in decades, and that band is ferocious. If those cats can’t move you, you don’t need a night on the town.
