Belanova Makes History by Selling Five Times More Digital Than Physical Albums
Universal Music Latino artists Belanova, considered by critics to be the band of the future for breaking the established norms of pop music, has made history by reaching a new online sales record.
The most popular band in Mexico is making history right now with their album Fantasía Pop for having sold five times more albums online than in stores.
Meanwhile, Belanova continues to hold the #1 spot for the third consecutive week, with their hit "Cada Que". The song has reached the number one spot as the most played and requested song on the Mexican radio charts.

Their most recent album, Fantasía Pop, went platinum in Mexico by surpassing the 100,000 mark in album sales, and since its release has broken records by remaining on the list of the country’s top-selling CDs. In addition, Belanova is one of the most visited artists on YouTube, with close to 2 million views of their new video “Cada Que”, and over one and a half million views of their first single, "Baila Mi Corazón".
With their Fantasía Pop concert tour, which is already expected to be one of the most successful of this year, Belanova continues to perform in Mexico and gets ready to hit over 20 cities in the US throughout April and May.
Furthermore, during mid-April Belanova will be visiting Spain where they have been named breakthrough band by Yahoo Spain. Today the electro-pop band, which currently holds the #15 position on the radio charts in Spain, has a tight promotional campaign which includes stops in Madrid and Barcelona.
