UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP ANNOUNCES SENIOR IT & GLOBAL ADMINISTRATION APPOINTMENTS FOLLOWING ACQUISITION OF BMG MUSIC
Los Angeles, CA, Tuesday, November 6, 2007 - David Renzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) and Michael Sammis, Executive Vice President of Operations/Chief Financial Officer Worldwide, today announced the appointments of Mike Donegan to Senior Vice President of UMPG Global IT and John Reston to Vice President of UMPG Global Administration. The appointments follow the recent close by Universal Music Group of its acquisition of BMG Music Publishing, making the new UMPG the number one publishing company in the world. Formerly, Mr. Donegan served as Vice President of Global IT Publishing for Universal. Mr. Reston retains his title as Vice President of Global Administration.

Mr. Donegan has been with Universal Music Group since 1989 when he joined PolyGram's International IT Group, becoming PolyGram International Music Publishing's Head of Business Systems in 1995. Prior to joining PolyGram, he worked in entertainment consultancy and has broad IT experience in music, film, theatre, radio and TV.
Mr. Reston’s tenure in the music industry began in 1990 at Carlin Music, before joining MCA in 1991. While at MCA, Mr. Reston served in a number of local and regional administration management positions. Following the MCA/Polygram merger in 1999, and subsequent creation of UMPG, Mr. Reston worked within a number of the company’s key territories, including the UK (overseeing the Europe region), Hong Kong (serving the Asian region), Miami (serving the Latin American region) and most recently, within the UMPG global center located in the UK.
