KATINA BYNUM APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING FOR UNIVERSAL MOTOWN RECORDS

(August, 7, 2006, New York, NY) Katina Bynum has been appointed Vice President of Marketing for Universal Motown Records, it was announced by Shanti Das, Executive Vice President of Marketing for Universal Motown Records.

“Katina has been an invaluable asset to the entire Universal Motown Records marketing team,” stated Ms. Das. “Her sensitivity to our diverse roster coupled with her unique grasp of the urban marketplace has made her an indispensable force in the overall strategic positioning of our artists. The entire company joins me in congratulating Katina on her much deserved promotion.”

Previously Ms. Bynum was Senior Director of Marketing for Universal Motown Records. During her tenure at the company she has worked with artists including Nelly, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Kem, Teena Marie, Mannie Fresh, and Juvenile. Prior to joining Universal Motown in 1997, Ms. Bynum was Theatre Manager of the Apollo Theatre in New York City, where she began her career in the music business in 1993.
