UNIVERSAL MUSIC NASHVILLE PROMOTES JASON OWEN TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF MEDIA, ARTIST RELATIONS AND CREATIVE SERVICES

Nashville, Tennessee, February 28, 2005 – Universal Music Nashville, the country music division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s largest music company, has promoted Jason Owen to Senior Vice President of Media, Artist Relations and Creative Services for its Mercury, MCA Nashville and DreamWorks Nashville labels. The announcement was made today by Luke Lewis and James Stroud, Co-Chairmen of Universal Music Nashville. Owen will be based in Nashville and reports to Lewis and Stroud.

In his new role, Owen will continue to develop and implement extensive media campaigns for such award-winning and multi-platinum selling artists as Shania Twain, Julie Roberts, Reba McEntire, Toby Keith, George Strait and LeAnn Womack, among many others. He will also oversee Creative Services, which includes the company’s Video and Production departments.

Most recently, Owen served as Vice President of Media and Artist Relations for Mercury and MCA Nashville. Prior to joining Universal, Owen enjoyed an extensive and successful career in television, serving as Director of Marketing and Talent Relations at Columbia TriStar Television. His background also includes stints with New Line Cinema/Fine Line Features and MPRM Public Relations.
