Ramsdell to oversee a newly integrated synchronization team

Santa Monica, May 13, 2019 —Brittney Ramsdell has been promoted to Senior Vice President of Film & TV Synchronization for Republic Records, Def Jam Recordings, Island Records and Verve Label Group.

Ramsdell will oversee a team that will have dedicated synch representatives at each label to strategically secure premium and impactful opportunities for the use of their music across film, television, video games, commercials and all other visual media. Based in Santa Monica, Ramsdell will report to Michele Anthony, Executive Vice President of UMG, as well as work closely with each label’s leadership team.

Before leading the synch team, Ramsdell served as Vice President, Film & Television Synchronization, starting in 2014 and has identified and brokered licensing opportunities, provided creative support on top-selling soundtracks for 50 Shades of Grey andSpiderman: Into the Spiderverse, set up on-camera performances and cameos for artists ranging from Valee to Kid Cudi, and created custom and original recordings. Some of her recent highlights include Lorde’s “Green Light” in an HBO image campaign, a Super Bowl spot for World of Dancefeaturing DNCE, a Samsung commercial for Bishop Briggs, Alessia Cara’s latest single in After,and countless others on celebrated TV shows like Insecure, Silicon Valley, 9-1-1, Grey’s Anatomy, The Bold Type, Empire, and more. Prior to joining UMG, she worked in sync at Warner Bros. Records, where she focused on film trailers and cable television.
