February 26, 2007, Nashville, TN – Universal Records South’s President, Mark Wright, announced today that Van Fletcher has renewed his contract as the company’s Senior Vice President Sales and Operations. This comes following the company’s recent announcements of various new hires and restructuring of the Promotion department.

“We are very fortunate to have Van staying on with our new team,” stated Wright. “His knowledge of the current roster and his musical instincts will allow him to be a creative contributor not only to his departments, but to Universal Records South as a whole.”

“I look forward to working with Mark, the Universal Records South artists and staff,” said Fletcher. “I’m very excited about the potential of the great artists and music that we have now and will have in the future.”

V. Fletcher started with Universal Records South in 2001 as Senior Vice President of Sales/General Manager, prior to that, the North Carolina native held the position of Executive Vice President/General Manager at Virgin Records.

From 1991 to 1999, V. Fletcher held many positions at Polygram Group Distribution including National Account Manager, Southwest Sales Manager in Dallas, Vice President of Sales as well as the corporation’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Branch Distribution.

Also announced today was the confirmation of additional staffers as well as their positions within the company. Carie Long – Senior Director of A & R Operations, Karin Cupit – National Director of Sales, Marketing and New Media; Bruce Burton – National Manager of Sales and Marketing; Marty Craighead – Executive Assistant to Fletcher Foster/Manager of Administration; Natalie Moore – Manager of Artist Development; Macy Morgenthaler – A&R Assistant.
