LONDON, 4 February, 2014 – Universal Music Publishing has renewed its worldwide publishing deal with Florence Welch (Florence + The Machine), for future and previous works, including the UK No. 1 albums ‘Lungs’ and ‘Ceremonials’.

From being nominated for the BBC Sound of 2009 award early in their career,  Florence + The Machine have gone on to secure a reputation as one of the UK’s most distinctive musical talents, selling over 8 million albums worldwide to date, including 3 million in the US.

As well as both ‘Lungs’ and ‘Ceremonials’ topping the UK album charts, Florence + The Machine have scored two UK No. 1 singles with ‘Spectrum (Say My Name)’ and ‘Sweet Nothing’ – both in conjunction with Calvin Harris. 

They have accrued scores of award wins and nominations including 3 Grammy nominations, 2 Brit award wins, 2 Billboard Music Award nominations and a Mercury Music prize nomination.

Alongside achieving critical and chart success,  Florence + The  Machine have created stunning compositions for recent blockbuster films, including ‘Over The Love’ for The Great Gatsby and ‘Breath of Life’ for Snow White and The Huntsman.
