Nashville, TN, June 3, 2005 – Universal Music Nashville, the country music division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s largest music company, has promoted Tom Lord to Vice President of Marketing and Emmie Anderson to Senior Director of Marketing for its Mercury, MCA Nashville and DreamWorks Nashville labels. The announcements were made today by Luke Lewis and James Stroud, Co-Chairmen of Universal Music Nashville.

Most recently, Lord was Senior Director of Marketing for Universal Music Nashville. Prior to that he worked under Universal’s Rising Tide label in Creative Services, Warner Brothers/Reprise Nashville’s Video and Artist Development and then joined Mercury Records’ Marketing Department in 2000. In his new role, Lord will continue to handle standout artists such as Toby Keith, Shania Twain and George Strait, to name a few.

Anderson holds nearly a decade-long career in the music industry, dating back to her start with MCA and Decca Records in early 1997. Since then she has moved through the ranks with Mercury Nashville and Lost Highway Records. Her previous title was Director of Marketing for Universal Music Nashville. Anderson will continue to handle day to day marketing responsibilities for Reba McEntire, Julie Roberts, Sugarland, Gary Allan, Lee Ann Womack and several others.

Both Lord and Anderson report directly to Kline.
