UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP PROMOTES JEFFREY BRONIKOWSKI TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, GLOBAL DIGITAL INITIATIVES
New York, New York, May 29, 2007 – Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, has promoted Jeffrey Bronikowski to Senior Vice President of Business Development, Global Digital Initiatives, it was announced today by David Ellner, Executive Vice President of Global Digital Initiatives.
In this new role, Mr. Bronikowski will lead key digital initiatives to grow UMG’s consumer-facing presence by incubating new businesses, forming strategic partnerships and spearheading acquisitions. He will continue to be based in UMG’s Global Headquarters in New York and will report directly to Mr. Ellner.

Jeff has played an increasingly important role in helping us manage our strategic digital activities, and now, as he moves up to his new post, his expertise, insight, and sensitivity to the needs of our artists will be invaluable.”

Previously, Mr. Bronikowski served as Vice President of Business Development for eLabs, UMG’s digital and new technologies division. He was responsible for negotiating content licenses for the company and evaluating new technologies and strategic partnerships. Formerly, Mr. Bronikowski worked at Universal Records in Finance, as well as in UMG’s Corporate Development group. Before joining Universal Music in 1997, he was Manager of Financial Analysis at Home Box Office (HBO).
Mr. Bronikowski received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University. He received his MBA in Finance and Marketing from the Stern School of Business at New York University, where he is now an Adjunct Professor in the Marketing department.
