New York, New York, December 17, 2007 – Universal Mastering Studios, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, today announced the appointment of Vlado Meller to Senior Mastering Engineer for their New York City facility, Universal Mastering Studios-East. The announcement was made by Paul West, Vice President, Studio and Vault Operations.

Vlado Meller has been mastering studio projects for nearly 30 years and is widely considered one of the top engineers in the industry. His discography includes work with such artists as Andrea Bocelli, Prince, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Shakira, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Miles Davis, Frank Sinatra, Julio Iglesias, Metallica, Michael Bublé, Duran Duran, Slayer, System of a Down, and The White Stripes. Most recently, he mastered Kanye West’s Grammy nominated album, Graduation, as well as Josh Groban’s chart-topping new release, Noel.

In the past two years, Mr. Meller has mastered over 50 projects that have hit the top 20 of Billboard’s Album Chart.
