Nashville, Tennessee, December 7, 2007 – Universal Music Nashville has promoted Royce Risser to Senior Vice President of Promotion, it was announced today by the company’s Chairman, Luke Lewis.

Based in Nashville, Risser will oversee all of the label group’s radio promotion initiatives.

“Royce has been an integral part of the UMG family for the past 15 years. His professionalism, dedication and ability to manage go unmatched. I am proud to have Royce take the lead of our terrific promotion staff,” stated Lewis.

Risser has been employed with Universal Music Nashville for 15 years, where he started with MCA as a promotion assistant before quickly moving up the promotion ranks as the Director of Northeast Regional Promotion, Director of National Promotion and eventually Vice President of Promotion. During his extraordinarily successful tenure at MCA, Risser was instrumental in the break-through success of such artists as Josh Turner, Trisha Yearwood, Gary Allan and Lee Ann Womack, among others, and helped to further the careers of such superstars as George Strait, Vince Gill and Reba McEntire.

Risser, a native of California, moved to Nashville in 1988 on a football scholarship to Vanderbilit University were he received his Bachelor of Science Degree and a Masters Degree.
