RONDOR MUSIC INTERNATIONAL SIGNS TRAK STARZ
Santa Monica, California, August 22, 2003 — Rondor Music International, has recently signed the red-hot production team Trak Starz, it was announced by Lance Freed, President Rondor.
Trak Starz recently produced and co-wrote the Chingy album “Jackpot” featuring the hit single “Right Thurr.” The single held the No. 1 position on the R&R CHR/Rhythmic chart six out of the last seven weeks and currently sits at No. 2. It is also No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album holds the No. 7 spot on the Billboard 200 and is No. 3 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The video has had extensive airplay on MTV and BET and was voted No. 1 video on MTV2.
“The bar has been set pretty high here and these guys are right up there with the best of them,” commented Kevin Hall, newly appointed Head of Urban Music, Rondor. “Between working on Ludacris’ new album and some film offerings in the wings, this is only the beginning for Trak Starz.”
The signing of Trak Starz builds on Rondor’s legacy as a home for leading R&B/Urban artists including such legendary figures as Isaac Hayes, Al Green, and Shep Crawford. Rondor is now poised for further success in the Urban field with Chingy’s new single “Holidae Inn” featuring Ludacris and Snoop Dogg; and Shady/Aftermath artist, Obie Trice, featuring tracks produced by Eminem, Dr. Dre and Timbaland.
