Initiative Marks NOW’s First-Ever Foray into Continuous Streaming Music Video Channels


New York, NY, May 6, 2014 – The world’s best-selling, multi-artist album series, NOW That’s What I Call Music! and ZUUS, the music video network curated by experts and artists, today announced that they are working together to build unique fan experiences through an array of branded music video programming, social activation and exclusive content stemming from and integrated into the flagship NOW That’s What I Call Music! and NOW That’s What I Call Country! brands. The initiative features a multi-faceted  content and marketing partnership centered around the creation of first-ever official NOW-curated continuous streaming music video channels featuring major hits spanning NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 50 and a broad selection of the biggest NOW hits from the past three decades. The program is currently rolling out in the U.S., in time for today’s release of the landmark NOW That’s What I Call Music! Vol. 50 and in anticipation of NOW That’s What I Call Country! Vol. 7, to be released June 3.

As part of the initiative, NOW and ZUUS will work together to implement a broad offering of music-based services and create unique video entertainment experiences.  The program will encompass fully integrated multi-platform campaigns centered around the creation of official NOW music video channels. ZUUS will implement a custom-branded music video strategy designed to extend the NOW franchise into compelling curated video experiences. The partnership will create the NOW franchise’s first branded cross-genre video campaign featuring a curated format and unique and original productions.  ZUUS is the official destination for the content, with “NOW What’s Next” special video bonus features as ZUUS exclusives.

NOW Curated Music Video Channels: 
ZUUS has created a series of customized NOW music video channels in collaboration with each major release to bring a compelling visual aspect to the NOW brand.  The first to launch is the NOW 50 Channel, which features all of the videos that correspond to the NOW 50 track listing, along with NOW 50 bonus disc (tracks voted on by fans), and the biggest videos from all previous NOW compilations (1 – 49), plus videos from the five selected “NOW What’s Next” artists for a total of 100 hit videos. The NOW 50 channel will be followed in June by a NOW Country Music Video Channel, which will follow a similar model.

Integrated Multi-Platform Campaigns to Support NOW Releases:

  • NOW pre-roll and display advertising to run throughout each NOW music video channel and across entire ZUUS website and partner network, targeted to audiences of relevant ZUUS genre channels and currently reaching 25 million monthly unique visitors
  • ZUUS and NOW promotion across social networks, driving traffic to NOW channels on plus tune-in on ZUUS Country TV where relevant
  • NOW to embed ZUUS third party video player on
  • NOW physical product booklets designed to drive traffic and tune-in to ZUUS

“NOW What’s Next” and “ZUUS On The Rise” Content Integration:
NOW and ZUUS will merge their mutual emerging artist franchises to create the ultimate in new music discovery!  The ZUUS owned and produced breaking artist franchise “On The Rise” features live performances and interviews with emerging talent across all genres.  NOW features five “What’s Next” artists on each NOW compilation — their artists on the rise. Together with NOW, ZUUS will feature all “What’s Next” artists in individual episodes of “On The Rise.” The programming will include exclusive original and behind-the-scenes programming, including artist interviews, live performance footage and long form videos. These artists will be prominently featured in both the NOW 50 and ZUUS On The Rise genre channels on ZUUS. Each performance and interview will be brought to fans by NOW, positioning the NOW compilation on which each artist’s track is featured. This new combined “On The Rise/NOW What’s Next” programming will be exclusive to ZUUS. and
