Universal City, California, January 18, 2005 — Mike Davis has been named Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing for Universal Music & Video Distribution (UMVD), it was announced today by Jim Urie, President of UMVD. Davis will be based at the company’s Universal City headquarters and reports directly to Urie. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of Sales for UMVD.

As part of duties, Davis will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing for the company, including its continued aggressive expansion into the digital marketplace.

“Mike has quickly become an integral member of the UMVD team and has played a key role in the success of many of our initiatives,” stated Urie. “He is a highly motivated, creative and passionate executive and we are pleased to expand the playing field for him even further with this well deserved promotion.”
