New York, New York, March 17, 2007 – Mark Lehmann has been appointed Vice President, Web and Mobile Marketing, Island Def Jam Music Group, it was announced today by Christian Jorg, Senior Vice President, New Media & Commerce, Island Def Jam Music Group. In this newly created position, Mr. Lehmann will champion the customer experience on all Island Def Jam web properties, mobile sites and new media. His first task will be the launch of the new Island Def Jam website combining,, and others. He will work with the new media team and partners to distribute Island Def Jam artist content through new technologies such as widgets, mobile websites, video players and more, and create new revenue opportunities through the monetization of these new sales channels. Mr. Lehmann, who is based in New York, will report directly to Mr. Jorg.

The newest addition to Island Def Jam Music Group’s New Media department, Mr. Lehmann brings more than a decade of hi-tech experience including ecommerce, mobile and internet advertising to his post. Most recently, he oversaw the launch of IDJ Mobile, the recording industry’s first label mobile subscription service, and is busy working to make a world-class experience.

Mr. Lehmann comes to Island Def Jam Music Group from Flycell, Inc., one of the world’s leading direct-to-consumer mobile entertainment companies, where he has served as Vice President of Web Marketing since 2005. He developed his passion for Ecommerce during his time at Macromedia, where he began as a financial analyst in 1997, then progressed to Ecommerce Marketing Manager and finally holding the post of Dreamweaver Product Marketing Manager. In 2002 he moved to, as Product Manager, Ecommerce and Web. He was appointed Rich Media Marketing Manager at DoubleClick in 2004. Mr. Lehmann was graduated from Grinnell College in 1993, with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. In 2001, he received his MBA in E-Business and Marketing from the University of San Francisco.
