Santa Monica, April 25, 2005 – Mark Czarra has been named Vice President of Alternative Promotion for Universal Motown Records Group (UMRG), a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s largest music company. The announcement was made today by Val DeLong, Senior Vice President of Promotion, UMRG.

Based in Santa Monica, Mr. Czarra will promote Universal Motown artists to alternative radio, developing and implementing promotional strategies. Previously, Mr. Czarra was Vice President of Modern Rock Promotion for Active Industry Research, an independent promotions company.

“Mark’s expertise in alternative radio and the lifestyle it represents makes him the perfect fit for this position,” stated Ms. DeLong. “His wealth of knowledge of the alternative format makes him the perfect compliment to our exemplary team.”
