New York, New York, April 19, 2004 — Maria Ho has been appointed Vice President of Corporate Communications for Universal Music Group (UMG), it was announced today by Peter A. LoFrumento, the company’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Public Relations.

Based in New York City, Ms. Ho will be responsible for developing and implementing communications strategies for UMG and its broad array of subsidiaries.

Prior to joining Universal, Ms. Ho served as Director of Corporate Communications for Zomba/Director of Artist Publicity for Jive Records. Formerly, she served as Director of Corporate Communications for Artisan Entertainment. Ms. Ho’s background also includes stints in corporate communications at Sony Music Entertainment and PolyGram.

Ms. Ho received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Barnard College of Columbia University.
