August 18, 2005 – New York, NY– Laura Curtin has been appointed to Vice President, Adult Formats, Island Def Jam Music Group, it was announced today by Greg Thompson, Executive Vice President of Promotion, Island Def Jam Music Group. In her new role, Ms. Curtin will oversee the promotion and marketing of all adult radio formats. Based in New York, Ms. Curtin will report directly to Mr. Thompson.

“Laura is a consummate promotion person no matter from which end of the dial you are looking at it,” said Mr. Thompson. “She’s intensely passionate for our artists and loves the world of radio and most importantly understands how to bring them together. Laura Curtin began her career in high school as an intern for Columbia Records in 1983, later working as A&R Administrator before moving to promotions at Epic Records, where she advanced from Manager, National Album Promotion to VP Rock/Triple A Promotion by 1995. In 1997, she joined Dreamworks where she served as VP Rock Promotion for five years, moving over to Arista Records in 2003 as Vice President, Rock and Alternative Promotion.
