Toronto, Ontario, December 21, 2010 – Universal Music Canada, the country’s leading music company, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jeremy Summers to Senior Vice President, Marketing, with immediate effect. The announcement was made today by Randy Lennox, President & CEO, Universal Music Canada, to whom Jeremy will report.

“Since joining our company in 1994, Jeremy has shown natural foresight and business acumen in each of the areas that he has led, including National Promotion,” commented Lennox. “His track record of breaking domestic and international artists as Vice President of Marketing for Interscope speaks for itself and he is now unequivocally ready to take on this greater challenge. In this new role, Jeremy and his marketing team will place additional value on the alliance with brands, and the strategies required to directly connect our artists with their fans.

Reporting directly to Jeremy Summers in his expanded role overseeing Universal’s repertoire will be Donna Lidster, Vice President, Brand & Partnerships, Ivar Hamilton, Vice President, Artist Marketing and Paul Jessop, Vice President, National Promotion.

Along with reporting to Randy Lennox as Vice President, Corporate Communications, Tyson Parker will also report to Jeremy Summers as Vice President, National Media & Artist Relations.
