BERLIN, 2 July, 2003 – Hannes Eder has been appointed General Manager at Universal Music Austria, it was announced today by Victor Antippas, President of Universal Music Germany/Switzerland/Austria, to whom he will report. The appointment takes effect immediately.

Hannes Eder succeeds Bogdan Rošcic, who has been appointed Vice President, Artists & Repertoire, at Deutsche Grammophon.

Mr. Eder joins Universal Music from Austrian national radio station FM4, where he was Director for Programme Planning. Prior to this, he was Managing Partner of the advertising agency Schön & Gut.

Victor Antippas commented, “Hannes Eder is widely respected in the Austrian music scene due to his work as an editor for FM4. Combined with his experience in the field of marketing and advertising, this makes him the ideal successor for Bogdan Rošèiæ. He will continue Bogdan’s successful work and, together with the dynamic team from Universal Music Austria, continue to develop Universal’s position as a market leader.”

Hannes Eder added, “I’ve been in the entertainment business for almost 20 years as a musician, journalist and radio programmer, but have never worked in a record company.
