SANTA MONICA, CA, May 1, 2006 – Glenn Kaino has been named Executive Vice President of Creative and Online for IMF: The International Music Feed, the multi-platform music entertainment brand that offers TV, VOD, Broadband and Mobile video music channels. The announcement was made today by the company’s President, Andy Schuon. Kaino will be based at IMF’s headquarters in Santa Monica.

Working closely with Schuon and Executive Vice President of Programming and Production Greg Drebin, Kaino will be responsible for the creative direction of the IMF brand, as well as the company’s broadband, and online initiatives.

Prior to joining IMF, Kaino served as Chief Creative Officer at Napster, where he was responsible for product design, development and programming. He joined the company after Napster acquired pressplay, a joint venture of Universal Music Group and Sony Music Entertainment, where he served as the Head of Programming and Creative Director. Formerly, Kaino served as Executive Vice President and Head of Programming at Jimmy and Doug’s, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG).

In addition to his work in the music industry, Kaino is also a noted conceptual artist whose work takes on a variety of forms: sculpture, film, painting and online. He was recently included in the prestigious Whitney Biennial at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York, and has exhibited work at The Bronx Museum of Art, The Studio Museum in Harlem and the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and he was a co-founder of Deep River Gallery in Los Angeles, which was a pioneering artist-run exhibition space. He has previously served as a professor at both UCLA and USC, where he has taught both undergraduate and graduate-level courses.
