LOS ANGELES, CA, August 17, 2011 – Synch executive Keith D’Arcy has been appointed Vice President of Catalog Marketing & Special Projects, it was announced today by Universal Music Publishing Group Executive Vice President of Creative, East Coast Evan Lamberg and Senior Vice President of Film & Television Music, Brian Lambert to whom he has a dual report.

Based in New York, Mr. D’Arcy’s primary focus is to find creative placement opportunities for Universal Music Publishing Group’s song catalog in film, television, and advertising campaigns, with a special focus on nurturing the deep catalog songwriters to help create new opportunities. D’Arcy will serve as a liaison for the company’s writers with music supervisors all over the country to find the right songs for their projects and to provide inspiration for future ideas for film, television, and advertising campaigns.

A well-respected music industry executive with over seventeen years of music business experience, Mr. D’Arcy began his tenure in the music industry as Music Librarian at JSM Music before quickly being hired as a Music Producer for advertising agency Bates Worldwide. After two years at Bates, he segued to Executive Music Producer for Sacred Noise, where he oversaw all aspects of creative music production for clients such as American Express, MTV, US Army, BMW, and Pepsi. In 1999 Keith joined EMI Music Publishing as Associate Director, Music Resources. During the next four years he helped establish the company’s creative supervision service and secured licensing deals in advertising campaigns for Mercedes, Nike, Viagra, Northwest Airlines, Heineken, Fisher Price and many others. In 2004 Keith accepted the position of Vice President, Music Licensing & Integrated Marketing at Sony BMG Music Entertainment where he helped improve creative supervision services and licensing outreach for all Sony BMG associated record labels and secured licensing deals for master recordings with brands such as Cingular, Hilton, Proctor & Gamble, Alltel and Coors. Keith returned to EMI Music Publishing in July 2006, to lead the company’s Music Resources division. He also founded, developed and co-managed the company’s Product & Content division, a central creative resource for the global synch staff.

In his spare time, Mr. D’Arcy is an avid vinyl collector and reissue producer. To date, he has produced or contributed to nine reissues of privately issued or previously unreleased recordings from the 1960’s & 70’s.
