Iconic band’s first studio album in 28 years due in October

Los Angeles/London, August 22, 2007 – Universal Music Group, the world’s leading music company, has reached an agreement to internationally distribute and market the forthcoming album by one of the most popular, successful rock bands of all time, the Eagles. Entitled Long Road Out Of Eden, it will be their first full studio album release in 28 years.

The Eagles are Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album in recorded music history in the United States, with sales in excess of 29 million copies.

Long Road Out Of Eden will be released worldwide outside North America on Oct. 29, both physically and digitally, by Universal Music Group companies. In the United States, Canada and Mexico, Long Road Out Of Eden album will be released exclusively through Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, walmart.com, samsclub.com, and via the Eagles’ Web site, www.eaglesband.com.

The first single from the album, “How Long,” made its global video premiere on Monday (20) via Yahoo! Music. Universal Music Group Nashville is promoting and marketing the track in the U.S. to radio.
