MIAMI, 1 MARCH 1999 — Manolo Diaz, chairman of Universal Music Latin America, today announced his new management team that will be based in the Latin American regional office in Miami.

Reporting directly to Diaz are:

Andrew Stokoe, vice president, finance. He was previously finance controller at PolyGram Latin America.

Fabio Alvarez, regional controller. He was director of finance at Universal Music Latino (US).

Tere Batista, vice president, legal and business affairs. She was previously vice president, legal and business affairs and publishing at PolyGram Latin America.

Marya Meyer, vice president, international artist marketing. She held the same title at PolyGram Latin America.

Carol Wright, vice president, Latin artists marketing. She was formerly vice president marketing at Universal Music Latin America.

Victor Gonzalez, vice president, strategic marketing. He was strategic marketing director at Universal Music Latin America.

Diaz said: “I am very proud of this excellent team of experienced, innovative and antibureaucratic individuals who come 50/50 from Universal and PolyGram. With such a team, our Latin American operating companies will enjoy great regional support which will help to ensure we achieve our priorities.”
