Universal City, California, March 30, 2007 – Dave Blomsterberg has been promoted to Vice President of Sales for Fontana, the independent distribution arm of Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD), it was announced today by Ken Gullic, Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Fontana. Most recently, he was the company’s National Director of Sales.

In his new role, Mr. Blomsterberg will be involved with all aspects of Fontana’s sales division, overseeing the regional and independent sales force, the national account management team and the catalog sales department. He will continue to be based in Universal City.

“Since joining Fontana, Dave has displayed a remarkable work ethic, and has been the consummate champion on behalf of our award winning sales team, and our labels,” said Mr. Gullic. “His enthusiasm and diligence are beyond compare, and anyone that passes through the Fontana system realizes this immediately.”

Before joining Fontana, Mr. Blomsterberg was Vice President of Country and Christian music sales at WEA Nashville. During his career he has also held positions at such companies as Valley Media, Sony Music and Musicland.
