DAVE BAKULA PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT, SALES ANALYSIS, UNIVERSAL MUSIC GROUP DISTRIBUTION
Universal City, California, October 30, 2006 -Universal Music Group Distribution (UMGD), the award-winning sales and marketing division of Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, has promoted Dave Bakula to Vice President of Sales Analysis, it was announced today by Alan Voss, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the company.
Based at UMGD’s headquarters in Universal City, Mr. Bakula will be responsible for managing the sales analysis department. He will work closely with national retail accounts and UMG’s record labels to identify and expand sales opportunities.
“Sales analysis is an absolutely critical element of our business today and UMGD intends to remain at the forefront of the industry,” said Mr. Voss. “Dave has the experience and expertise that will enable us to do so. We are thrilled to have him on our team.”
Mr. Bakula was formerly Director of Sales Analysis for UMGD. He began his career with Universal Music Group as a catalog sales representative in Minneapolis. Before that he was an Inventory Manager/Analyst for Musicland Group. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota.
