New York, NY – October 7, 2005 – Daniel Kruchkow has been promoted to Vice President, Digital Media & Commerce, Island Def Jam Music Group, it was announced today by Greg Thompson, Executive Vice President, Promotion, Island Def Jam Music Group. In this newly created position, Mr. Kruchkow will oversee all operations of IDJMG’s Digital Media Department, including online marketing, mobile sales & marketing, digital music retail, web production, consumer acquisition/direct marketing via internal web sites and databases, as well as exploitation of new digital revenue streams. Mr. Kruchkow, who is based in New York, will report directly to Mr. Thompson.

Mr. Kruchkow has spent the past year as Senior Director, Online Sales & Marketing. A six-year veteran of IDJ, he began in 1999 as an Executive A&R Assistant. The following year he moved to the New Media Department as Manager, and was promoted to director in 2002. He began his music career in 1997, as an Executive Assistant at Rocket Records/Island Records. Mr. Kruchkow was graduated from the State University of New York at Oneonta in 1996, with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Mass Communications.
