New York, NY, September 29, 2015 – Universal Music Group (UMG), the world’s leading music company, and Complex, a multi-platform media network, announced the launch of UMG+COMPLEX STUDIOS, a one-stop shop for brands to target and grow millennial audiences through exclusive content produced by UMG and Complex. UMG+COMPLEX STUDIOS will utilize UMG’s vast catalog of recordings and acclaimed roster of artists with Complex’s influential millennial voice and current slate of award-winning video, print and digital formats to reach their network of over 140 million monthly visitors. This first-of-its-kind partnership will not only give brands the ability to seamlessly partner with artists through the creation of original content but will give UMG’s artists new opportunities to monetize their content and brands.

“We are constantly looking for new ways for our artists to engage their fan base, gain new audiences and find new opportunities to monetize their content and brands.” says Mike Tunnicliffe, in making the announcement. “UMG+COMPLEX STUDIOS will give both artist and brand partners a turnkey solution to reach millennial audiences through unique content distributed via Complex’s highly targeted network of sites and social communities.”

Complex founder and CEO Rich Antoniello commented, “With UMG, we have a partner that brings direct relationships with the world’s leading artists to the table.  When we combine that with Complex’s track record for being an authoritative voice in music journalism and discovery and our unparalleled millennial scale, we have the ability to deliver to our brand partners a complete content offering that will be compelling and relevant to their customers.”

Current UMG+COMPLEX STUDIOS projects include a documentary on Def Jam’s Jeremih as well as a docu-series on Capitol Records’ artists, Disclosure, both of which will be available this fall exclusively on with brand partners to be announced.
