East Meets West In An Unforgettable F1 ROCKS™ Artist Line Up
August 20, 2009 – In March 2009 Universal Music Group International and its joint venture company All The Worlds signed an agreement with Formula One Administration Limited creating F1 ROCKS™. F1 ROCKS™ fuses the world’s most popular annual sporting series with the most iconic music stars to create an unrivalled experience for Formula One™ and music fans alike. F1 ROCKS™ is a series of spectacular multi-artist live music events from glamorous Formula One™ race locations around the world. The combination of live performances from the world’s biggest acts, together with stars from the world of movies, sport and fashion will create TV shows & digital content that will be broadcast and streamed to a global audience.
F1 ROCKS™ Singapore with LG is pleased to announce that Chinese Pop Diva, A-Mei, also known as the “Pride of Taiwan” will be joining Chinese Pop Legend Jacky Cheung for an exclusive performance at F1 ROCKS™ on September 24th, live at Fort Canning Park. This is the very first time that Jacky Cheung and A-Mei are to share a stage on the same night, bothperforming a full set.
Honored with the “MTV Legendary Diva Award” at the MTV Mandarin Awards in 2006, A-Mei has earned her title as the “Diva” of the Mandarin Pop music scene. A-Mei has received over 300 music awards across Asia, released over 17 albums and has sold over a staggering 8 million albums worldwide. A-Mei’s top selling album Sisters sold over 1.3 million in Taiwan alone, the second biggest selling Asian artist after Chinese Pop Legend Jacky Cheung.
To have the top two selling Asian artists together on stage will be an unforgettable experience and will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of F1 ROCKS™.

F1 ROCKS™ Singapore with LG will see “East Meet West” in its three-day line-up, with A-Mei joining a whole host of exciting Asian artists for the first show, including Sodagreen and Da Mouth, followed by two days of performances by some of the biggest global superstars, including multi-award winning artists; Beyoncé, Black Eyed Peas, ZZ Top, Simple Minds and N*E*R*D. This is the first time that Asian superstars have performed with their Western counterparts over a three-day concert experience and it is set to be one of the biggest events this year.
