Amy Bloebaum has been promoted to Vice President, Media & Artists Relations, Island Def Jam Music Group, it was announced today by Laura Swanson, Senior Vice President, Media & Artist Relations, Island Def Jam Music Group. In her new post, Ms. Bloebaum will be responsible for on-camera opportunities and performances for IDJ artists on non-traditional televised outlets, including prime time shows, sports and cable programs, and other tv specials. She will work in tandem with the Publicity and Marketing Departments in the development of tv and artist placement campaigns.

Ms. Bloebaum will serve as the head of the IDJ West Coast Publicity office. In that capacity, she will oversee all Los Angeles-based publicity events including photograph sessions, securing press and tv coverage of promotional video shoots, and other live events. She will oversee print and tv interviews, as well as the planning and execution of artist showcases for the tv and soundtrack Music Supervision community. Ms. Bloebaum, who is based in Los Angeles, will report directly to Ms. Swanson.

Ms. Bloebaum is a six year veteran of the IDJ Media & Artists Relations Department in Los Angeles, having joined in 2000 as Director, and been promoted to Senior Director in 2003. She began her career in music in 1993 at Relativity Records, as Manager, Media & Artists Relations. She moved to Priority Records in 1995, as Director, Media & Artists Relations. The following year she founded the independent publicity firm Moxie Press, and served as its CEO until 1999. Prior to joining IDJ, she was Director, Media & Artists Relations, at Mammoth Records. Ms. Bloebaum attended UCLA, where she was graduated in 1992, with the Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater Arts.
