TRACY ZAMOT APPOINTED SR VP, PUBLICITY AND MEDIA RELATIONS FOR UNIVERSAL MOTOWN RECORDS
New York, New York, August 13, 2007 – Tracy Zamot has been appointed Senior Vice President of Publicity and Media Relations for Universal Motown Records, it was announced today by Sylvia Rhone, President of Universal Motown Records and Andrew Kronfeld, General Manager of the label. Based in New York, Ms. Zamot will report to Ms. Rhone and Mr. Kronfeld.
In this new capacity, Ms. Zamot will be responsible for developing and implementing media strategies for Universal Motown’s diverse roster of artists, which includes Stevie Wonder, Akon, Chamillionaire, Lil Wayne, Lloyd, Erykah Badu, Mya, Shiny Toy Guns, and Blue October, among others.
“Tracy is an energetic and creative executive with unique team-building skills and keen instincts for identifying new platforms of exposure for our artists,” stated Ms. Rhone. “We are looking forward to her immediate contributions.”

Prior to joining Universal, Ms. Zamot served as Vice President of Publicity at Virgin Records, where she developed and guided media campaigns for such artists as the Gorillaz, KT Tunstall, Lenny Kravitz, Dem Franchize Boys, We Are Scientists and Iggy Pop, among others. Formerly, Ms. Zamot advanced from a publicity assistant and tour publicist, to Vice President, East Coast Media Relations, at Atlantic Records. Between 1992 and 2002, Ms. Zamot’s duties spanned the label’s roster in the mainstream, adult, theatre, soundtrack and urban genres, and included developing media campaigns for such artists as Matchbox twenty, Phil Collins, Rush, Collective Soul, Led Zeppelin, Genesis, Audra MacDonald and Nappy Roots.
