First event featured Academy Award & Grammy Award winning dance music icon Giorgio Moroder

NEW YORK, January 27, 2017 — Republic Records and preeminent audio innovator McIntosh Group have partnered to host the “Direct Connection Series.” This in-residence series delves into an intimate look at the history of timeless music through artist storytelling and candid interviews.

Episodes will be shot at the “World of McIntosh” Townhouse in New York City. The Soho HQ is outfitted with the brand’s latest and greatest audio gear, providing an unsurpassed intimate experience for guests during these exclusive invite-only gatherings. It’s a 5-story expression of The Art Of Sound Experience of the McIntosh Group, remaining emblematic of their technology’s power and prowess.

The “Direct Connection Series” launched on January 25 and featured a fascinating in-depth discussion with Casablanca Records artist, multiple Academy Award- and Grammy Award -winning pioneer of disco, Giorgio Moroder. SiriusXM radio host Larry Flick sat down with Giorgio as he spoke on his illustrious career, new music, and what lies ahead in the future. Cocktails were provided by Absolut Vodka.
