Santa Monica, California, April 21, 2015 – Lucian Grainge CBE and Lord Marland, along with UK Trade & Investment, Universal Music Group, Founders Forum, BBC Worldwide and BBC are returning the Technology Innovators Forum (TIF-IN) to Los Angeles, where attendees will include some of the most prominent leaders in Hollywood and promising start-ups from the US and UK. The two-day forum, designed to help promote trade with the UK’s most innovative technology and media companies, is scheduled to be held April 28 and April 29 at several locations in Los Angeles, with panels and sessions planned at Quixote Studios in West Hollywood. The event’s co-hosts are Peter Chernin, Chairman and CEO of The Chernin Group, a producer of movies and television series, and an investor in prominent technology companies; Ari Emanuel, co-CEO of William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, one of the world’s leading entertainment and media companies; and Jason Kilar, co-founder and CEO of premium video service Vessel.

The conference plans to explore how music, television, film, live events and innovative services are influencing, as well as being influenced by, new digital platforms that give consumers more control over how they enjoy their favorite entertainment. In addition to the event’s hosts, industry leaders from the music, film, television, digital and video games industries will be in attendance. More than 30 innovative companies, including a selection of UK creative-technology high-growth businesses, will present to the conference’s influential audience. The companies range from innovative start-ups looking for funding, to established businesses looking to secure overseas contracts and establish relationships and distribution agreements with global industry players.

TIF-IN’s inaugural conference took place in 2013 in Los Angeles. Since then, forums have been held in London and Qingdao, China. Together, the three TIF-IN forums have drawn 700 attendees, featured 80 innovative companies and resulted in $200 million in deals.
