    MCA Nashville operates as part of the Universal Music Group Nashville and was founded in 1945 by Paul Cohen as the country music division of Decca Records in New York. In 1955 the country music division along with many of its contemporaries moved to Nashville, Tennessee. It was renamed MCA Nashville in 1973.
