UNIVERSAL MUSIC CANADA & SHOUT! FACTORY ANNOUNCE AUDIO DISTRIBUTION DEAL; VIVENDI VISUAL ENTERTAINMENT CANADA EXPANDS SHOUT! FACTORY DEAL TO INCLUDE ENTIRE VIDEO CATALOGUE



Toronto, ON and Los Angeles, CA, Monday, November 19, 2007 – Universal Music Canada (UMC), the country’s leading music company and Shout! Factory today announced that effective Monday, December 17, 2007 UMC will become the exclusive distributor of leading pop culture entertainment company, Shout! Factory’s audio & video products. Previously announced in July 2007, Vivendi Visual Entertainment Canada (VVEC), the video arm of UMC announced an exclusive agreement to distribute Shout! Factory’s new release, non-music video products. Furthermore, VVEC has expanded its existing deal with Shout! Factory to include their entire video catalogue effective December 17. The announcement was made today by Randy Lennox, President and CEO of Universal Music Canada, and Shout! Factory’s founding partners Richard Foos, Bob Emmer and Garson Foos.

“Shout! Factory has long been an exciting provider of audio and visual content,” stated Randy Lennox. “Their rich catalogue and incredibly extensive reissue program is indicative of their popular culture pedigree and we couldn’t be more excited to expand our already vibrant relationship.”
