UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP (UMPG) ANNOUNCES SENIOR APPOINTMENTS FOR AUSTRALIA, SOUTH AFRICA, JAPAN, TURKEY, INDIA AND S.E.ASIA FOLLOWING THE ACQUISITION OF BMG MUSIC PUBLISHING



Los Angeles, California, July 23, 2007 - David Renzer, Chairman & CEO of Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) the world’s leading music publishing company, and Andrew Jenkins, the company’s Executive Vice President of International, today announced senior appointments for UMPG’s integrated operations in Australia, South Africa, Japan, Turkey, India and Southeast Asia. The appointments follow the recent close by Universal Music Group of its acquisition of BMG Music Publishing, making the new UMPG the largest music publisher in the world.

These new appointments represent executive talent from both UMPG and the former BMG MP, and will report directly to Mr Jenkins. They include:

* Bob Aird, who has been named Managing Director of Australia

* John Fishlock, who has been appointed Managing Director of South Africa

* Ken Ohyama, who has been named General Manager of Japan

* Mine Aksoy, who has been appointed Managing Director of Universal Taxim Turkey

* Achille Forler, who has been named Managing Director of Universal Music Publishing India

* Tony Yapp, who has been appointed Regional Director of S.E. Asia

* Ronald Siu, who has been named Regional General Manager of S.E. Asia

* Andy Wong, who has been appointed Regional General Manager of Production Music S.E. Asia

* Sharen Lee, who has been named General Manager of Hong Kong/China

* Serena Ma, who has been appointed General Manager of Taiwan

* Kevin Cho, who has been named General Manager of Korea

* Jack Teo, who has been appointed General Manager of Malaysia

* Evelyn Seale, who has been named Publishing Manager of Philippines

* Fitri Hayatunisma, who has been appointed Publishing Manager of Indonesia
