UNIVERSAL MUSIC PUBLISHING GROUP (UMPG) ANNOUNCES SENIOR MANAGEMENT APPOINTMENTS

SENIOR MEMBERS FORM PART OF NEW TEAM TO LEAD UMPG FOLLOWING ACQUISITION OF BMG MUSIC PUBLISHING



Los Angeles, California, June 4, 2007 - David Renzer, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), today announced part of his new senior executive team for the company’s integrated worldwide operations. The appointments follow the recent close by Universal Music Group of its acquisition of BMG Music Publishing, making the new UMPG the largest publishing company in the world.

Each of these new appointments will report directly to Mr. Renzer and include:

* Michael Sammis, who has been appointed Executive Vice President of Operations/ Chief Financial Officer, Worldwide

* Andrew Jenkins, who has been appointed Executive Vice President of International

* Paul Connolly, who has been named President of Europe/UK

* Gary Gross, who has been appointed President of Universal Production Music Worldwide

* Dale Mathews, who has been named President of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, an industry leader in Christian music publishing

* and Eddie Fernandez, who has been named Senior Vice President of Latin America

Most recently, Mr. Sammis served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of UMPG. In this expanded role, he will continue to oversee all aspects of the global integration of these two companies as well as all Finance and Administration activities for the combined company’s worldwide businesses including Global Administration and IT. Since joining the company (then MCA Music Publishing) in 1996, Mr. Sammis has played a pivotal role in the transformation of UMPG to global leadership. During his tenure, the company has experienced substantial growth and has successfully acquired or merged with several high profile music catalogs (PolyGram, Rondor, Interscope and All Nations Music), all of which were seamlessly integrated into UMPG.

Prior to joining UMPG in 1996, Mr. Sammis worked as Vice President of Finance for Windswept Pacific Entertainment Company. Prior to Windswept, he worked at the Rascoff/Zysblat Organization and also spent more than ten years with Ernst and Young as a member of their Entertainment and Media Group in New York.

Mr. Jenkins most recently served as President of International for BMG Music Publishing. In this new UMPG role, he will oversee operations in Southeast Asia, Japan, Australia/New Zealand, South Africa and the Middle East. He will also continue his active role in representing UMPG's interests in various industry and society matters. Mr. Jenkins joined BMG Music Publishing in 1993 as Vice President, and since then, has signed major international agreements with such chart-toppers as the Bee Gees, Alanis Morissette, Mosaic, Pete Townshend/The Who, The Cure, Robert Plant, Leiber & Stoller, and Tom Waits. Prior to joining BMG, Mr. Jenkins was general manager of Polydor Records in the U.K., where he worked with BMG-published artists the Bee Gees and The Cure, among others.

Mr. Connolly most recently served as UMPG’s President of Europe/M.D. U.K.. He joined the company, then MCA Music, in 1988 as an A&R scout. He was appointed to A&R Director in 1991 and Managing Director in 1994. In 1997, he became Vice President of MCA Music International in addition to his role of UK Managing Director and in 1999, appointed Executive Vice President, Europe and Managing Director UK of newly formed Universal Music Publishing Group. During his time with the company, Mr. Connolly has built a reputation for astute business savvy and signing cutting edge talent and catalogs across all musical genres, including Air, Basement Jaxx, The View, Sex Pistols, Joy Division, The Smiths, Lily Allen, Chemical Brothers, The Clash, DJ Shadow, Flaming Lips, Franz Ferdinand, The Killers, Metallica, Nine Inch Nails, The Klaxons, Smashing Pumpkins and Elton John, among others. He also serves on the Board of the Music Publishers Association (MPA).

Mr. Gross formerly served as President of BMG Production Music Worldwide, where he was responsible for the strategy, global marketing, production and websites relating to BMG's global production music libraries. He joined BMG's Killer Tracks Production Music library in 1996 as Vice President of Marketing. He was elevated to VP/GM of Killer Tracks in 1997 and was later named senior VP/GM of the company. In 2002, he was promoted to President of BMG Production Music. Prior to BMG, Mr. Gross spent over 15 years in marketing with such major companies as Procter & Gamble, Kraft, McKesson Corporation and wine cooler company California Cooler.

Mr. Mathews has over 32 years of Christian music industry experience (both as an executive and as an artist) and over 20 years with Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing (BMG’s Christian music publishing company), the world’s largest Christian music publishing catalogue and the world’s second largest evangelical Church/Choral music catalogue. As President of Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing, a post he has held since 1997, Mr. Mathews takes care of approximately 75,000 Christian music copyrights and 70 exclusively-signed artists and songwriters. Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing’s leading Print music division contains over 4,000 active titles. Mr. Mathews joined Brentwood Music (later Brentwood-Benson Music Publishing) in 1985, holding various important posts including Production Manager, Operations Director and Director of Print Music Operations. Prior to joining Brentwood Music, Mr. Mathews pursued a 10-year career as a successful Christian music artist.

Mr. Fernandez joined UMPG in 2006 as Senior Vice President of Latin America. In this expanded new role, he will oversee all Latin American creative operations for the combined company, including U.S. Latino. Mr. Fernandez began his career at Sony Music Publishing as head of A&R in 1991. In 1995, he became Director of A&R for Sony Discos. He then left Sony in 1997 to oversee the A&R department of Universal Music Latino. In late 2003, Mr. Fernandez was hired by Sony/ATV to head the Latin American region and US Latin operation. Among his key signings are Luis Fonsi, Amaury Gutierrez, Liliana, Yaire, Alih Jey, Tito El Bambino, Latin Pop diva Olga Tanon, Leon Gieko, and Alexis & Fido, as well as resigning singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona, Estefano, Roberto Livi, Sin Bandera, Mario Domm, Roberto Carlos, Kaos, Giro, Ashley, Grupo Mania, top Reggaeton producer Nesty, and EMusica (Fania & Kubaney), among others.
