NINA HANSDOTTER APPOINTED VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND A&R, UNIVERSAL MUSIC MOBILE INTERNATIONAL

LONDON, October 14, 2005 – Nina Hansdotter has been appointed to the post of Vice President, Marketing and A&R, at Universal Music Mobile International (UMMI), effective immediately. The announcement was made today by Cedric Ponsot, President, Universal Music Mobile International, to whom she reports.

London-based Hansdotter will work closely with the marketing teams of Universal Music Group International, of which UMMI is part, to maximise the international promotion opportunities offered by mobile for the company’s artists and repertoire, to initiate and develop the appropriate mobile promotion/marketing strategies for new releases, and to develop UMMI’s A&R activity through the creation with artists and labels of specific mobile content, from the earliest point in the artistic process.

Hansdotter previously worked for Universal Music Group International as Vice President, Marketing, for MCA/Dreamworks/Universal Motown from 1999-2004. Earlier, she held posts in product management, promotions and marketing at Universal Music Sweden.

Commenting on the appointment, Cedric Ponsot said, “Music on mobile is now truly a revenue generator, as well as a fantastic media channel to promote our artists. Nina’s experience and skill make her the perfect person to take UMMI forward, integrating our activities with those of repertoire owners and labels. She will demonstrate the value that mobile distribution brings to developing and breaking new artists.”
